Every effort has been made to give an accurate description of the handcrafted jewellery for sale. Due to the nature of digital photography and the difference in monitors there may be a slight difference in colours of the images on the screen and the actual piece of jewellery.
Please note that all earrings can be converted to clip-on. Please make this request when placing your order. There is no additional charge for this alteration. Neither is there an alteration for lengthening or shortening a necklace or bracelet. If you require sterling silver ear wires due to sensitivity or allergies, please make this request when placing your order. there is no charge for this alteration.
Placing an order and payments.
Placing an order with The Selkie's Haunt may be done in one of two ways. To make your purchase from the website, simply follow the self-explanatory pages that will appear once your have made your purchase and proceed to Checkout. Please note that you are required to tick the box confirming that you have read and understood these terms and conditions prior to completing your purchase. If you reside in the UK and would prefer to pay by cheque, please contact me by email or telephone so that I can give you the required information and can reserve your chosen piece of artisan jewellery until your cheque arrives. Your jewellery will be dispatched once funds have cleared. You may also pay for your purchase by bank transfer. For this method, please contact me by email or telephone and I will give you the information required. Once funds have reached my bank account, your jewellery will be mailed out. Online payment is secure via Paypal, which allows customers to pay using their credit or debit cards without having a PayPal account and none of your details given during the payment process are retained by The Selkie's Haunt.
Sales during events.
Occasionally, an order may be placed during an event where the same piece has sold. The website is kept as current as possible, but it may be impossible to make immediate changes to items available. If you place an order during an event and the piece is no longer necessary, you will be refunded as soon as possible.
Cancellation / Returns Policy: non-faulty goods.
If you change your mind about your purchase, you may cancel your order at any time up to 14 working days from your receiving the item. Email your information regarding your return - the name/item number and the reason for your return. Return the goods in as-new condition in their original packaging with the hard copy invoice and the returns form that will accompany your item. Refunds will be made by whatever method payment was used for payment. (In the case of payments by cheque, please provide your bank details for refund by BACS). Please note that The Selkie's Haunt is not required to refund the cost of return postage if the item is not faulty.
Returns Policy: faulty or missing goods.
In the unlikely event that the goods are faulty, please advise as soon as possible and we will make arrangements to have the goods returned and the cost of return postage will be refunded. You have 30 days from the day of receipt of the item(s).
The Selkie's Haunt takes great care in ensuring that each and every piece of the handcrafted jewellery on offer is unique and made just once. Legal action will be taken should copyright infringement be discovered. If you see a copy of one of any of The Selkie's Haunt designs on another site, please e-mail The Selkie's Haunt with the details.
Jewellery, by its very nature, is not a toy or plaything. The Selkie's Haunt jewellery - as with all jewellery - should be kept away from young children as some of the smaller parts or any stones that may come loose through mishandling the jewellery could cause choking.
